The Cavision 4 x 5.65” Soft Mist Clear Filter is a diffusion filter designed to create a subtle but noticeable soft look for portraiture and cinematic imaging. It softens and lowers contrast slightly, diffuses both highlights and shadows to help balance the tonal range, and adds a gentle glow that can give your images a classic soft film or dreamy, ethereal quality. Compared with the Soft Mist Black filter, the Soft Mist Clear produces a stronger, more deliberately diffused look that can also help reduce the appearance of minor blemishes while maintaining a refined, controlled finish. Depending on the strength selected, it can lend images a classic Hollywood feel without becoming overly stylized. Cavision offers the Soft Mist Clear in several grades to suit different shooting needs.

It is built with 4mm-thick glass and is designed for use with lenses up to approximately 70mm on full-frame 35mm, making it best suited to standard and medium focal lengths rather than telephoto work.
